Radio Presenter
Trai has a wealth of experience on radio. She currently presents on the flagship BBC Natural History Unit programme The Living World on Radio 4, and reports on Shared Planet and Saving Species.
Trai was station forecaster for BBC Asian Network, co-hosted a Saturday daytime show with Neil Green on BBC Tees, and has become a well loved personality on several BBC local radio stations as weather forecaster and features presenter.
Television Presenter
Trai is a popular presenter of documentaries including the award-winning Wild Weather for BBC1 and weather consultant on How Safe Is Your Home? She fronts independent films for a range of corporate clients including The Environment Agency, The Wildlife Trusts and ClimateNE.
Qualified in meteorology, Trai was part of the award-winning BBC Look North team for ten years, forecasting the weather, reporting and presenting environment features.
She is a regular contributor to The Weather Network
Live Events Host
An engaging and experienced event host, Trai was chosen to stand in for Sir David Attenborough on the BBC Blue Planet Live! tour.
Live event clients often book Trai year after year as a host for awards ceremonies and gala evenings.
Recent clients include NCJ Media for the North East Environment awards, and Sage Gateshead where Trai hosted the hugely popular On Red Kite Wings celebration event.
Presentation / Production Trainer
Trai was a presentation and filming skills trainer with the BBC, and is now available for individual or group media and presentation sessions.
Trai also runs Creative Factual Production training workshops for Channel 4 and has guest lectured in Digital Storytelling at Princeton University.
